St Peter’s College is an Anglican boys’ school, offering an exceptional education to approximately 1,500 students from the Early Learning Centre through to Year 12. About the Role
As Head of Athletic Development, you will ensure all St Peter’s College students have an opportunity to develop enhanced physical fitness and athletic performance through effective, evidence-based, progressive and cooperative programs.
You will facilitate cooperation between Health and Physical Education (HPE), Sports, and Strength and Conditioning (S&C) Programs to maximise the learning and performance of the students through a graduated, functional pathway of physical development and fundamental movement skill progressions.
The successful applicant will:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Coaching, Sports Science or equivalent (minimum – Post Graduate qualifications desirable)
- Experience as a strength and conditioning coach
- Minimum Level 2 Strength and Conditioning Accreditation (ASCA)
- High level understanding of sports science concepts and the proven ability to integrate sports science, sports medicine and technology into training programs and initiatives
- Passionate about sport in an education setting and finding the strengths in all students
