About the ELC:


The Early Learning Centre provides preschool education for boys aged 3-5 years. The Centre is committed to the provision of a caring and stimulating environment that reflects the interests and needs of boys in their early years.


About the role:


We are seeking experienced and qualified early childhood teachers who would be available to undertake casual relief work in our centre.


About you:


Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to establish caring and nurturing relationships with children, work as a member of a team and view play as an important medium through which young children learn. An understanding of the Reggio Emilia philosophy would be desirable.


Candidates will be required to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Be an outstanding teacher with Early Childhood Teaching qualifications.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia and hold current registration with the South Australian Teachers' Registration Board. 
  • Evidence to be provided of completed training in Responding to Abuse and Neglect and Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Have an extensive understanding of early childhood education and care.
  • Have an understanding about the education of boys.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the central role well-being plays in enabling all boys to flourish.
  • Be able to integrate ICT technologies across all areas of teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication, representation and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess and demonstrate a commitment to the principles and practices of WH&S, Equal Opportunity and Risk Management.
