About the College:

 

Founded in 1847, St Peter’s College is an Anglican boys’ school located adjacent to the CBD of Adelaide. With students from Early Learning Centre to Year 12.  The School caters for a wide range of student backgrounds and abilities. The School has an excellent reputation for both academic and sporting achievement.

Our goal is to develop educated, considerate and outward looking young men who will use their talents responsibly for the good of the wider community. To do that, we focus on attracting and retaining staff who have the skills, capabilities and passion to provide the best possible education for boys.

 

About the Role:

 

We are seeking experienced and qualified primary school teachers who would be available to undertake casual relief work within our Junior School.


Successful applicants must demonstrate the ability to establish caring and nurturing relationships with children, work as a member of a team and must have knowledge of suitable methodologies required to cater for the needs of Primary aged boys.

You will need to meet the following selection criteria:

  • Hold relevant tertiary qualifications;
  • Classroom teaching skills of the highest order;
  • Be able to integrate ICT technologies across all areas of teaching and learning.
  • Excellent communication, representation and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in Australia and hold current registration with the South Australian Teachers' Registration Board.
  • Evidence to be provided of completed training in Responding to Abuse and Neglect and Senior First Aid Certificate.
  • Have an understanding about the education of boys.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of the central role well-being plays in enabling all boys to flourish.
  • Excellent communication, representation and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess and demonstrate a commitment to the principles and practices of WH&S, Equal Opportunity and Risk Management.
