English Teacher - Senior School
  • 12 month contract

As an English Teacher in our Senior School you will strive to create a learning environment that enables all students to flourish. 


All teaching staff are expected contribute to the co-curricula program and act as a Mentor in the House pastoral care program. Other responsibilities include:

  • Teach the agreed curriculum in English from Years 7 to 12.
  • Adhere to all Australian Curriculum, SACE and International Baccalaureate requirements; and
  • Assist with programming and assessment for each Year level in English and support the work of the Faculty in the Senior School.

As the successful applicant you will:

  • Demonstrate and promote excellence in classroom teaching in English;
  • Cultivate and maintain a classroom environment which is stimulating, focused and supportive which reflects the school’s values and ethos.
  • Have experience in teaching English at Senior Secondary level;
  • An ability to incorporate the use of digital technology into the investigation, teaching and learning of English; and
  • Hold current registration with the South Australian Teachers’ Registration Board.
