About the Role

We are seeking expressions of interest for accredited enthusiastic cricket coaches to contribute to our inclusive and dynamic school cricket program.

 

Successful applicants will be passionate and knowledgeable coaches, who are capable of creating environments for all players to learn, develop and succeed. The cricket program aims to develop trainings and games that emphasize fun and participation, enhance skill development through games and scenarios, further advance a player’s ability to make decisions and to work cooperatively on and off the field.

 

These coaching roles will be overseen by the Director of Cricket, and will involve organising and delivering training sessions, managing and coaching Saturday morning or afternoon matches as well as some administrative tasks such as writing match reports and compiling player/team data throughout the season.

 

Coaches must be available for all training sessions and matches:

  • 2 x Training sessions per week (3 hours per week)
  • 1 x Match per week, held on a Saturday morning or Afternoon. (4 hours per week)

 

Criteria

We are looking for people who have:

  • Experience in cricket coaching; particularly working with junior cricketers in a school
  • Minimum of level 1 cricket Australia coaching accreditation
  • Game focused approach to training - developing player skills through small games and scenarios
  • DCSI Clearance and current Senior First Aid accreditation or willingness to obtain them
